Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Are the alligator skin products real or is it printed/embossed on leather?
Answer: All product advertised is alligator. Our skins are from wild caught, Florida Alligator.
Question: The prices seem to be expensive, are your prices too high?
Answer: Alligator skin is extremely expensive! We strive to keep the product accessible. The craftsman, Kevin Burn, works to keep his labor costs down. A typical hide costs $400-$800. The product yield from an alligator is not as much as one might think. For example: an 11 foot alligator will yield only 4 or so belts, perhaps only 2 clutches. A particular product necessitates certain cuts of leather, that is only limitedly available in each hide.
Question: Is your product sewn with a sewing machine?
Answer: No, all of our products are hand sewn with something called a saddle stitch, which is more durable than a stitch created from a machine.
Question: Is your business legitimate, fair, etc.?
Answer: Our philosophy regarding business would be described as “old school”. A hand shake is a hand shake and our written/spoken promise is precious. If something is not correct in your eyes, chat with us…we will be quick to fix it and make it right.
Question: How long does it take to have my product made from order?
Answer: It depends, lol….let’s have a good conversation, call Kevin Burn at 772.532.5907.
